Welcome to Managros

Managros is a rural area just 3km from the historic village of Volissos. It is known for its long uncrowded beach with sparkling clear waters.
Perfect for a quiet relaxing holiday or a retreat for writers, artists and nature lovers.

Managros Beach

The beach known as Managros is approximately 1 1/2 km long and, even at the height of summer is uncrowded. At the end of the beach closest to the harbour Limnia, is the popular beach bar 'Juji', with chairs and umbrellas.

In Limnia, and further north in Limnos, there are several bars and restaurants

Volissos Village

As the old administrative centre of the Amani region, Volissos has a good range of amenities. There are several restaurants, bars and kafenions scattered all over the village. You can choose to be in the plateia watching the (small) world go by or head up to the top of the village for the fantastic panoramic views.
There are two mini markets for basic supplies. We also boast a Post Office, pharmacy, two hairdressers and, hopefully not required, a doctor's surgery and police station. There is an ATM opposite the pharmacy and free wifi in the plateia.

The west coast of Chios has some of the best beaches on the island and most are quiet and unspoilt. There are several hilltop and coastal villages, both inhabited and deserted, to explore. The islands of Psara and Oinoussa make interesting day trips. A car or bike is recommended to get the best out of the island.

This is a just a sample of what can be found close to Managros and a little further away.
